Breast cancer

Types of breast cancer

The carcinoma canalicular is the most common form of breast cancer . The tumors are formed in the cells of the milk ducts, which transport milk to the nipples. The canalicular carcinoma can be invasive, with the possibility of disseminating, or non-invasive.

The carcinoma lobular arises in the lobules, which are the milk - producing glands. The carcinoma lobular can be invasive, with tendency to spread, or non - invasive.

The inflammatory breast cancer (CMI) is a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that affects the dermal lymphatic system. Instead of forming a bundle, the CMI grows in flat sheets that are not palpated in a breast scan.

The breast cancer relapsing is a cancer that comes back after not being detected for a while. The cancer relapsing may appear in the residual breast tissue and elsewhere, such as lungs, liver, bone or brain. Although these tumors are found elsewhere, they are still called breast cancer .

Symptoms of breast cancer

The symptoms of breast cancer can vary from one woman to another. Women should know their breasts to know what they feel and it seems normal for them. Changes must be notified immediately to a healthcare professional. Many cancers are detected by a systematic mammogram after age 40, before any symptoms are noticed.

Among the symptoms are:

  • Bulk or mass in the breast
  • Increased lymph node size (adenopathies) in the axilla
  • Changes in the size, shape, texture of the skin or color of the breast
  • Redness of the skin
  • Formation of depressions or wrinkles
  • Changes or discharge from the nipple
  • Peeling
  • Pulling the nipple to one side or changing direction

Many changes in the breast, even lumps, are not cancer ; however, if you notice one or more of these symptoms for more than two weeks, consult your doctor.
