The Botín Foundation, an organization that acts in the world social development, is with registrations open until every May 17 for the program of Strengthening Public Management in Latin America. The public policy course is aimed at 19- and 23-year-olds who have completed more than 50% of the undergraduate course (no matter the area) until September 30 and are interested in pursuing a career in the public sector.
For eight weeks, selected students will attend classes and participate in lectures and debates on the areas of political , legal and historical foundation , economics, political philosophy and public services. The program has academic and cultural trips in Spain, as well as visits to companies and institutions and completion of the course at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) in Brazil. All expenses for the course of public policies (airfare, transfers and accommodation) are included.
How to apply for the public policy course
Interested students should send a letter from their university submitting the application to the Botín Foundation website and a one-minute video answering the question “What are the challenges of a public servant in the 21st century?”. In addition, it is necessary to submit an application form, with personal and academic data. Proof of proof is not required in English or Spanish, although it is recommended. The objective of the Foundation is to develop in the participants the skills and competences necessary for the proper exercise of public functions, so that in the future they will be able to promote social, economic and cultural development in their countries. Among the criteria considered for the choice of students are academic trajectory and involvement with public and social issues.
Those approved for the public policy course will be known on July 12 and are expected to take the course between October 9 and November 29.
